F1 Sensation Isack Hadjar Sets Sights on Elusive Target Against Lightning-Fast Rival

Isack Hadjar delivered the goods for Red Bull in his first qualifying session with the Milton Keynes-based outfit.

Isack Hadjar stated that his goal for the Australian Grand Prix is to turn his third-place grid position into a podium finish, as he considers Mercedes to be too strong for a victory challenge. He was Red Bull’s only representative contending for pole after Max Verstappen’s unexpected crash during qualifying. Despite being almost eight tenths behind George Russell, Hadjar’s strong final lap secured him a spot at the front of the second row. Although he initially expected to lag behind Ferrari and McLaren, his qualifying performance exceeded his expectations. With Red Bull relying on him to collect significant points in Verstappen’s absence, Hadjar is optimistic about clinching a second career podium, but he deems it unrealistic to aim for more than third place due to Mercedes’ dominance. Aware of the formidable competition from Mercedes, Hadjar focuses on making a strong start in the race to maintain his position, with the ultimate goal of achieving another podium finish.
